Thomas Enzinger is thought to be one of the most renowned directors for musical and operetta. Indeed, his spectrum outreaches much more. Beside light operas he is also stage-managing operas and dramas. Altogether Thomas Enzinger refers to more than 60 productions at renowned theaters.
Thereover he is the founder of one of the most successful light opera festivals of Germany. For 18 years he developed with his ability the unique character of this festival.
Since May 2017 Thomas Enzinger is director and manager of the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl.

With his adaptation and staging of „Vienna Blood“ at the Vienna Volksoper he managed the balancing act between the classical operetta and a modern form of snappy popular drama and comedy. His production of Kálmáns “Countess Mariza” at the Vienna Volksoper has been shown successfully for two seasons and is now part of the long term repertoire. In the season 2016/17 all performances of his production of Kálmáns “The Circus Princess” at the Vienna Volksoper have been sold out. Reviewers and the audience acclaimed the work of Enzinger, so the performance is shown for 14 times in the current season.
Reviewers and the audience also acclaimed his productions of „The Gipsy Pricess“ at the State Theatre Brunswick, his „My fair Lady“ at the State Theatre Nuremberg, his „The bat“ and the staging of „Countess Maritza„ etc.
Also, his production of Benatzkys “White Horse Inn” at the State Theatre Nuremberg was great success and has been shown for five seasons. Cole Porters “Kiss me, Kate” State Theatre Nuremberg has always been sold out.
Thereover Thomas Enzinger had a huge success with a new adaption and staging of Paul Abrahams “Roxy und ihr Wunderteam” at the Opera Dortmund. The production was cover picture of the magazine “Opernwelt”.

Thereover he received the highest praise from the critics for his staging of „L´Italiana in Algeri“ by Rossini at the State Theatre at Gärtnerplatz (Munich), this show was sold out for two seasons. The success was similar to his production of the baroque-opera „Rinaldo“ by Georg Friedrich Händel at the Opera Kiel.
In the starting years he also worked as actor, e.g. at the Theater in der Josefstadt (Vienna), at the State Theatre Linz, at the Vienna Festival, at the Viennese cabaret Simpl as well as in numerous TV-productions. He himself sees these experiences as essential, because therefore Thomas Enzinger is well known for his intensive and remarkable way of working with actors and singers.
Thomas Enzinger can refer to more than 50 productions at renowned theaters. Furthermore, is he writing plays, own adaptations and programs for cabarets, moreover he is author and director of numerous TV-productions.
